ABOUT US
The Crusaders have been established in Canterbury for the last 11 years.
Made up entirely of local ladies from the East Kent area, they meet up 3 or 4 times a week to train and play league/cup matches.
The ladies all fund their own kit/equipment as well as paying all of their own insurances and court rental fees.
Over the past 4 years there has been an upsurge in the public interest in basketball and more and more amateur teams are cropping up nation wide to enable people to enjoy what used to be, predominantly, and American sport.
The girls have been managed for several years now by Chris, who started the team purely as he had a love for basketball and wanted to be able to give something back to the sport that had given him so much joy.

Benita Palmer has now taken over from Charlie in coaching the team from the start of the 2009 season.
The girls are also joined for matches by their "table-men" Ron & Roger. Ron and Roger are like a fixture around the court, coming along to help with score keeping, as well as preparing the court before tip off.
